King Leo, a 23lb Maine Coon cat was found on the side of the road in Nashville, Tennessee, meowing inside a carrier case. The ten-year-old cat was taken to Metro Animal Care and Control and then transported to Cat Shoppe Rescue where he received care. Owner and veterinary technician LaTisha Lampley, 34, adopted King Leo after caring for him at Animalia Health and Wellness. King Leo had over 2lbs of fur shaved off of him, and is undergoing water treadmill sessions to build strength and lose weight. LaTisha and her family are monitoring his caloric intake and incorporating playtime exercises in their home in Spring Hill, Tennessee. NASHVILLE - Seekor kucing yang mempunyai masalah obesiti terpaksa menjalani latihan senaman menggunakan mesin TREADMILL un
tuk membantunya mengurangkan berat badan, lapor New York Daily News kelmarin.
Kucing berusia 10 tahun itu yang dikenali sebagai King Leo memiliki berat badan mencecah 14 kilogram (kg) dan hampir sukar bergerak akibat kegemukan.
Haiwan berkenaan kini ditempatkan di sebuah pusat penjagaan haiwan di bandar ini selepas ia dibuang oleh tuannya.
Pusat jagaan tersebut juga terpaksa mencukur bulu kucing berkenaan bagi memudahkan ia berjalan di atas mesin TREADMILL.
"King Leo suka berjalan di atas TREADMILL dan kami tidak menghadapi masalah untuk membantunya bersenam," kata seorang sukarelawan di pusat jagaan itu.
Selain jadual senaman yang ketat, diet pemakanan kucing itu juga dikawal untuk membantu ia mengurangkan berat badan. - Agensi
